On Saturday morning, we drove to Atlanta where son, Brian, and wife, Amber dropped us off at the Atlanta Airport. We had a quick, comfortable flight to Detroit, and ate a nice Cheeseburger lunch in a restaurant that had electrical outlets at the tables (so Michael could charge his computer).
We then boarded our flight to Hong Kong and “enjoyed” SIXTEEN hours of flight time. Fortunately, we had emergency row seats so we could stretch out easily and get up whenever we wanted. The flight was long, but uneventful (which is always a good thing).
Arrival at the Hong Kong airport was easy and we walked to our hotel (Regal Airport Hotel) that is located inside the airport terminal.
Now for a good night sleep and then on to Kunming in the morning.
More to come…..
